Why Osun Head of Service voluntarily resigned

Reports making rounds has it that Osun state head of service has resigned. The reason for his resignation was not certain as at the time of filing this report.

Information flowing from the civil service in the state has it that Owoeye was allegedly involved in a scandal, and he reportedly resigned to save his face.

But contrary information from some people, particularly the politicians said Owoeye was forced to resign, even as they did not mention why he was forced to resign.

The state Commissioner for Information and Strategy Lani Baderinwa has however congratulated Mr Owoeye for his years of service.

Baderinwa in a Facebook post said “May God bless the rational decision of Mr Sunday Olayinka Owoeye, the Head of Service in the State of Osun for 5 solid years, all with Ogbeni Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola administration, to VOLUNTARILY RETIRE from service.

Mr Owoeye remains historically the first and only democratically ELECTED HoS in Nigeria. He remains the a most robust discussant in the anal of Osun administration.

He is often referred to as ARISTOTLE by Council members in appreciation of fecund contributions to Cabinet discussions. So ebullient, he would always appreciate good deeds and rebuff untowards comments and actions against what he believes in and stands for. Owoeye is a man of history who will not allow cheap and subtle misinformation to scuttle his glorious exit from the Civil Service he served so diligently and protect with all his brain and strength”
