The Coordinator of a socio-political group, Passion Hill Foundation, Engr. Akinbola Fatiregun has hailed Governor Adegboyega Oyetola of the State of Osun for appointing an ex-Federal lawmaker, Hon. Engr. Isreal Ajibola Famurewa as the Executive Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education – Osun SUBEB, describing Famurewa’s appointment as well deserved.
Hon. Famurewa, a registered engineer, Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers and two-term Member of the House of Representatives, was a member of the House Committee on Basic Education.
In a signed statement, copies of which were obtained by journalists in Osogbo, Engr. Fatiregun expressed the hope that Hon. Famurewa would deliver excellently and re-position Education on the path of glory in the State.
The statement read in part, “I am very much elated about the appointment of the Honourable Engineer because it is well deserved and long overdue.
“Engr Famurewa is a man with a known track record of delivering on any assignment he is tasked with.
“As the DG of the Campaign Organization of our performing Governor, he delivered excellently. And with his track record in the House of Representatives, he proved himself to be a worthy representative.
“I have no doubt whatsoever that he will deliver excellently well in his new assignment and re-position Osun SUBEB and Education on the path of glory.
“With Engr. Famurewa in the saddle, hopefully it is only a matter of time for Osun to witness a huge turnaround in the Universal Basic Education sector as the State is now set to be the bastion of Basic Education in the country.”
