Our leaders should focus more on what binds us together – ACAON

The Anti-corruption Awareness Organization Nigeria (ACAON) says Nigeria can still regain it’s glory despite all odds if it’s leaders will focus more on what binds it together – ACAON

The Chairman, board of trustees, ACAON,
Alhaji Prince Kola Kadewolu Adeyemi said this during an online interview with our reporter over the just concluded Presidential Petition Tribunal Judgement.

“We commend the maturities of both presidential candidates of People’s Democracy Party (PDP) and Labour Party (LP) in the last Elections, his excellence Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and his excellence Mr Peter Obi for appealing and calming down their supporters.

“Even as they chose to follow the rules of law by announcing their intentions to appeals to the Supreme Courts, the highest Court of the Land.

“We salute the courage of their lordships and congratulate the pronounced winner, His Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, APC members and their supporters.

“Also, APC and their supporters should be cautioned not to be over joyous in thier celebrations in other not to overheat the politics of the Nation”, he advised.

He, however, called on president Tinubu to focus on how to find a lasting solution over the present situation of hardship and make life better for all Nigerians.

“The country has gone through many challenges in the process of nation building, it seems all hope has been lost, but we can still regain it if our leaders will focus more on what binds us together.

Reacting on the National Labour Congress (NLC) recent warning strikes, he said: ACAON wishes to commend their efforts in ensuring a better and progressive living for all Nigerians which includes Nigerian Workers of all cadre.

“However, we advice the leadership of the congress to put their house in order and continue the dialogue with all stakeholders with a view to achieve their set goals.

“We wish and pray for an enabling environment in our Nation called Nigeria to restore her lost glory” he added.
