The Parliament Diary Newspapers is proud to announce the upcoming Parliament Diary Dialogue, scheduled to take place on Thursday, June 20th, 2024, at the Dame Pauline K. Tallen Banquet Hall National Women Centre, Opposite CBN Headquarters, Abuja.

 

 

 

The event, which will commence at 10:00am, aims to foster a critical discussion on the role of the Nigeria National Assembly in promoting unity and stability within the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) in the face of potential coups.

The timely and thought-provoking theme, “Coup d’etats and Ecowas Unity: The Role of the National Assemblies,” will bring together a diverse range of speakers representing the Federal Government, the National Assembly, the Nigeria Military, the ECOWAS Secretariat, the ECOWAS Parliament, the French Government, academics, and Journalists.

This esteemed panel will delve into the significance of the National Assembly in maintaining peace and stability within ECOWAS, as well as its potential impact on regional unity in the event of a coup.

The Parliament Diary Dialogue is expected to attract a large audience of stakeholders, policymakers, and the general public, providing a unique platform for attendees to engage with the topic and share their perspectives.
