It said the committee set up since September 2023 to investigate the sudden death of the musician aught to have release it’s findings.

The group said at

a press conference held in Lagos to assess the alleged threats to late Mohbad’s wife and how the Nigeria Police Force has allegedly continued to delay justice to the sudden death of Mohbad.

The Head, Gender Department of the group, Omolola Pedro, said they are not happy about the continued silence of the police on it’s ongoing investigation into the death of Mohbad.

She said, the Nigeria police must immediately conclude its Investigation and make their finding public.

“We condemn in strong terms, the incessant threats of physical attacks against late Mohbad wife and child”.

According to her, the Force Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi in a statement said that the Lagos state Police Command had been tasked with investigating the death of the 27 year old musician who died under murky circumstances.

“Despite announcing the completion of autopsy for the late singer, the Nigeria Police has kept mute and is no longer providing information on the case.

Recall that the circumstances surrounding the death of the late singer sparked a public outcry and the eventual emergence of the #JusticeForMohbad campaign which metamorphosed into protests across the country.

The continued delay in getting justice for the late Mohbad has exposed his wife, Wumi, and only child, Liam to several attacks like cyber bullying, cyber stalking, organised malicious campaigns against their persons, and even physical harassment.

The same fate the late Mohbad suffered while he was alive. The Take It Back Movement calls on the Nigeria Police to stop the needless delays, make public its findings from the investigation, and protect the rights of the deceased wife and child.

“We also call on the police to take note of threats of physical harm against the wife, and child of the deceased, and bring perpetrators to justice, accordingly, she said

One of the convener, Comrade Ayoyinka Oni notes that the continued delay in getting justice for Mohbad has exposed his wife, Wunmi, and only child, Liam to several attacks like cyber bullying, cyber stalking, organized malicious campaigns against their persons and even physical harassment.

However, the late musician wrote petition before his death, those people involved in attacks, threats of life, bullying ,malicious demages of property police invited them for questioning, detented were all released on bail after charge to court yet nobody no what came out of investigation or is any thing police is hiding from the public we need to know.

Speaking further, this issue of threats of life should stop in the society, no matter how powerful you are, you have no right God almighty gives life and the authority need to take it as a serious matter.
