Prince Oyekan Donates Utility Bus To Community Security Outfit In Lagos

A Frontline Council Legislator and Executive Director Of Kolawole Ajibade Oyekan Foundation, Hon. Prince Taiwo Ajibade Oyekan has donated a Utility Bus to the Isale-Eko Community Anti-Crime Team (FOLUMO) on Friday December, 2033 at Ojuworo Community, Onilegbale Street, Isale-Eko, Lagos, Nigeria.

 

 

Dring the Presentation Ceremony of the Operational Vehicle, Prince Oyekan said the gesture was to complement the efforts of the Lagos State Government, Government Security Agencies and further strengthen the Operations of the Isale-Eko Anti-Crime Team [Folumo] in Community Policing and Security of Lives and Properties within Isale-Eko Quarters and its adjoining Communities.

 

 

Speaking further, he stated that it was also necessitated due to the unwarranted attack on the Community and The Oba’s Palace during the Protest against Police Brutality tagged EndSARS.

 

 

 

“I was saddened by the unfortunate incident. May we not experience such ugly incident again”, Prince Oyekan said.

 

 

“Today, I am handling over this Security Bus to the Isale-Eko Community Anti-Crime Team (Folumo) through my Non-Governmental Organisation, Kolawole Ajibade Oyekan Foundation because the Security of Lives and Properties is paramount to me and I believe that it is a collective responsibility”, Prince Oyekan concluded.

In his remark, the Oba of Lagos, HRH Oba Rilwan Babatunde Aremu Akiolu represented by High Chief Waheed Olalekan Yusuf, The Olorogun Agbeje of Lagos commended Prince Oyekan for the Donation of Operational Vehicle to the Lagos Community Security Outfit.

He Prayed that as he provides for the Elderly Citizens, Empowers the residents and gives Scholarships to students he will not lack anything good.

In his appreciation message, the Chairman of The Isale-Eko Community Anti-Crime Team,
Mr. Oredola Gerald Gayet said the donation of the Operational Vehicle will increase their efficiency, response to emergencies and security threats across the Island and Lagos Mainland.

On his part, the Lagos Island Local Government Community Development Committee Chairman, Chief Abu Elemoro-Martins said Hon. Prince Taiwo Ajibade Oyekan is an Outstanding Councillor and a good Ambassador of Lagos.

He stated further that the Philanthropic activities has become generational in the Oyekan Family.

Hundreds of Bags of Rice and Live Chickens were distributed to the ju ju Elderly Citizens, Widows, and Physically Challenged Persons.

In the last six years, Prince Oyekan has empowered the Widows, Vulnerable and Physically Challenged Persons. He has also promoted the development of Basic and Tertiary Education, Presented Scholarships to indigent but brilliant students across Lagos and other community intervention Initiatives.

The Iconic Lagos Prince hinted that he would Intensify his effort to make the Community safer, more Habitable and reduce crimes and social vices.

Kolawole Ajibade Oyekan Foundation was set up in memory of my late Father, Aremo Kolawole Ajibade Oyekan to sustain his Legacies: Philanthropic works and social intervention Programmes.

Present at the historic event were the Oba of Lagos, represented by and the Lagos White Cap Chiefs, Community Leaders, Community Development Committee Chairman, Chief Abu Elemoro-Martins, Community Leaders, Market Leaders, Youths among others.
