Two months after the death of popular singer, songwriter and record producer, Babatunde Okungbowa, also known as OJB Jezreel, reports coming from his household is disheartening. An inside source hinted Celeb Police that members of the talented artiste’s family were planning to sell the Surulere, Lagos, house he left behind and some of his assets. We got to know that they had called for a meeting at his family house in Agbor, Delta State, with his three wives (Mabel, June and Korede) in attendance to discuss the modalities of the selling process and how to share.
It was based on this information that Celeb Police called his last wife, Korede, on Sunday August 28, 2016 to confirm the development. “Right now we are in Agbor, we came to see Jiga’s (His husband’s nick name) grandfather. We came to church to do thanksgiving, family meeting and others things. We would be back to Lagos by tomorrow (Today Monday August 29, 2016). There’s a lot going on that I need to focus on before I can do any major interview. About the selling of the house you talked about, we are not sure for now. My husband just died, I can’t say much on that now and besides it is left for Okungbowa’s family to decide but I can assure you, you will get to know in future if that is going to happen,” she told us.
Korede said; “As for his Foundation, since Nomoreloss is dead, his two other partners; Dare and Jaye are the ones in charge of his businesses now and that will be until something else comes up.”
The ex dancer who runs a catering outfit with the brand name – Kokomo also told us it’s been God who has been the source of the family’s sustenance since the death of hjer husband. “I have family support from my mum’s side and a little from Jiga’s side so, we are managing and coping well by the grace of God because I can’t really say this is the source of what we are managing.”
