THE PROSTITUTE- POLITICIAN WHO WANTS TO BECOME THE NEXT DEPUTY GOVERNOR OF THE CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE

The noble role that high moral values such as trustworthiness, loyalty, sincerity of purpose, hard work and a deep understanding of the intricacies of political leadership play in fostering good governance cannot be underestimated.

But given the Nigerian situation where one’s closeness to those in the corridors of power rather than his/her  intellectual acumen and experience count we often do have some wrong people in government calling the shots. Amongst these are those with the Machiavellian mindset-that the end always justifies the means. It does not matter to them the process of achieving that end.

One is talking here about Hon. Mrs. Akinpele Yusuf, the former Commissioner for Youth and Social Development that has been moved to that of Wealth Creation. She is no doubt popular around the Alimosho political circle, not because of her vast experience but going by the number of men she has so far dated.

Mind you, the pharmacist-turned politician has demonstrated her lack of depth and understanding of what the management of men and materials is all about. But how did she get the post of commissionership you may ask? That is the million-Naira question but the answer is not far-fetched.

She was foisted on the government as a representative of the Alimosho caucus by the Rauf Aregbesola group. There, she has cleverly maneuvered her way into the hearts of the decision makers not only by warming their beds but by giving out the hand of her younger sister in marriage to one of the power brokers.   Hon.Enilolobo

Now, she wants to get many steps higher. She is currently scheming to contest for the post of the Federal House of Representatives, and use that to become the next deputy governor to Gov. Ambode and push out Adebule. What a vaulting ambition.

It is on record that both Ambode and Adebule, fondly referred to as the A Plus Team enjoy a rich and robust relationship, based on sound intellectual engagements, the results of which are visible all over Lagos. Why then should a prostitute- politician, with scares knowledge of modern digital leadership style vie for that lofty height?

Let it be noted that at this material time not a few Lagosians are  worried about the quality of the representation at the National Assembly.  As the state gears up to move from the Fifth to the Third largest economy on the continent, we need men and women of high moral and intellectual grits, not those with lackadaisical approach to governance. Or worse still, those who want juicy political posts by selling their shameless bodies.
