In the Nigerian history, criminal abound and they operate almost freely without any incursion from any security agency. Recently, the country was bombarded by kidnappers, who have kidnapped a lot of personalities. It looked difficult that these criminal will be arrested but when the inspector General of Police, Ibrahim kpotun Idris decided to hold the horns by the jugular , he appointed the head of the IGP/IRT Squad. Since Abba Kyari took the mantle of leadership of the squad, he has arrested many criminals which includes armed robbers, rapists, kidnappers and others.
After realizing this, the IGP decided to promote this young man. The reason is that, he has worked very hard to ensure that he curtailed the many crimes that are disturbing the peace of Nigeria. Some of Kyaris’ achievements were the arrest of Babatunde Egunjobi aka Godogodo, Chinna, Vampire and of recent, the most notorious kidnapper in Nigeria, Evans.
It is of note that Abba Kyari led the squad that arrested all these criminals and he brought peace and tranquility into the country. This is why the IGP and the Presidency thought it wise to promote him
