Real Reasons Nigerians can’t enjoy Electricity before paying tariffs – Fashola reveals

 

Nigerians are presently not angry with the Minister for power, Babatunde Raji Fashola over the increase in electricity tariff which he endorsed some weeks ago.

Lot of citizen has named him bad names over the decision as most claim they haven’t been using been using electricity for some time and due to that, the increment should only be implemented when they start enjoying power.

Tackling this issue, The Ex Lagos state governor said it is possible for citizen to enjoy light before the implementation of the increase but some situations and problems won’t allow.

He said the problem is with suppliers of gas and those supplying gas won’t supply it until their money is paid and that most power sector projects are financed by banks but before banks approve loan,they will have to see what the money is going to be used for first.
