Born on January 8th, 1967, in the serene town of Cross River, Nigeria, Enyi E. Ben-Eboh’s journey is one marked by dedication, perseverance, and an unwavering commitment to excellence.
From his formative years, Enyi exhibited a remarkable aptitude for academia. He embarked on his educational odyssey at Command Secondary School, Kaduna, where he honed his intellectual prowess from September 1977 to June 1982. With a thirst for knowledge unquenched, he furthered his studies at The Polytechnic, Calabar, where he obtained both a National Diploma and a Higher National Diploma in Architecture, graduating with distinction in 1987.
Enyi’s pursuit of excellence did not end with his diplomas. In a relentless quest for mastery, he pursued a Master’s in Project Management at the University of Lagos from February 2003 to July 2005, cementing his position as a leader in his field.
Throughout his academic journey, Enyi’s brilliance shone brightly, earning him accolades and recognition. His mantle adorned with prizes, he received the prestigious Professor Donald Ekong Prize for being the best graduating student in Architecture, alongside the Arc. Maurice Archibong Prize for his outstanding performance in the Faculty of Environmental Studies.
Emboldened by his successes, Enyi ventured into the professional arena, securing his place as a Fully Registered Architect with the Architects’ Registration Council of Nigeria (ARCON) in April 1994. His dedication to his craft propelled him into various leadership roles within the Nigerian Institute of Architects (NIA), culminating in his presidency from 2021 to the present day.
Enyi’s influence transcends borders, as evidenced by his participation in numerous international conferences. From the Sustainable Building for Africa Conference in South Africa to the World Congress of Architecture in Italy and Japan, his insights have left an indelible mark on the global architectural landscape.
Yet, Enyi’s impact extends beyond blueprints and boardrooms. His tenure as the Head of Projects at First Atlantic Bank Plc from 2002 to 2004 exemplified his unparalleled leadership and vision. Under his stewardship, the bank’s branch network experienced exponential growth, expanding from 11 to 52 branches within a mere two years.
