Toyin Amuzu, the house of representatives candidate of People’s Democratic Party, PDP has congratulated Hon. Oladipupo Adebutu on his victory at the Federal High Court today 29th of July, 2022.
Toyin Amuzu in a letter to Hon. Oladipupo Adebutu, the Governorship candidate of People’s Democratic Party, PDP in Ogun state said that the Friday’s judgment of the federal high court, Abuja has put an end to the series of litigations on the forthcoming governorship poll in 2023.
The APC candidate, in the letter, asked Hon Oladipupo Adebutu to accept his congratulatory message since all the cases were over.
Hon. Oladipupo Adebutu was confirmed as the governorship candidate of People’s Democratic Party PDP, by Justice Taiwo Taiwo of the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja in the suit between Jimi Lawal vs PDP, INEC & Hon Oladipupo.
Jimi Lawal was challenging the emergence of Hon Adebutu as PDP governorship Candidate in Ogun State. Justice Taiwo held his ruling citing many Legal authorities that “who is a delegate to vote in a primary election is exclusively within the domain of a political party and the court lacks the Jurisdiction to entertain the suit as it will mean delving into who is the proper delegates to vote at the primary”. He therefore dismissed the suit.
