The Jagunmolu Iyalode of Igbore Land; Iyalaje of Sango Ota and Yeye Loro of Akinhale Owu Kingdom, Chief (Dr.) Jackie Adunni kassim was yesterday honoured with a matronship certificate by Rescue Nigeria Initiative.
The executive members of Rescue Nigeria Initiative stormed Connect Event Centre, Ijako to honour her with the matron position of the organisation.
The group who spoke through its Executive Director, Comrade Oriyomi Olyede said that the honour was reserved for Chief (Dr.) Jackie Adunni kassim for her philanthropy act and her contribution to child education, poverty eradication and youth/student empowerment.
In his words, “Rescue Nigeria Initiative was given birth to after he had thought of how many people took him in without knowing any member of his family. Rescue Nigeria Initiative don’t just appoints Patrons and Matrons, we only identify those that merits them. So today we have come to confirm that you merit being our Matron.”
He continued, “My mother died in 2003 and since then, I have been adopted by so many good people. When I met mommy (Chief (Dr.) Jackie Adunni kassim), she was accommodating and practically introduced me as her son at every point. When I thought of it, I was compelled by my instincts to give back to the society that loved me the way I am.”
The CEO of NewsExtra, Mr Obadimu Adeyemi Abiodun (VERON) in his remarks applauded Chief (Dr.) Jackie Adunni kassim and urged her to continue on the path of greatness. Also, he urged her to bring other like minds on board because she’s too loaded.
Receiving the award, Chief (Dr.) Jackie Adunni kassim, expressed pleasure and the position done on her and pledged her support for the organisation at all times. Furthermore, she was amazed by the picture album presented to her.
In her acceptance remark, she acknowledged that child education, poverty eradication and youth/student empowerment is a war that must be fought by everyone. She urged the executive members to continue the war because soon or later, history will remember everyone for good.
