Revealed! Why Adeboye Couldn’t Establish University in Home Town
Shockingly, Pastor Enoch Adejare could not establish his prestigious Redeemers University in his own town, Ilesa, Over an alleged demand for N100 million from him by the traditional ruler of the town.
In an exclusive chat with his HRH Dr. Oyekanmi Ogedengbe, who is the Obanla Of Ijesha On Friday, February 7th, 2020 at his palace, he accused the paramount ruler, Owa-Obokun Adimula, Oba (Dr) Gabriel Adekunle Aromolaran II of scaring investors from the town with his huge demands from local and foreign investors.
He revealed that when pastor Adeboye who is an indigene of the Town wanted to build Redeemers University in Ilesa, the ruler demanded for a whooping sum of N100m before they can even embark on such a project In the town. This demand didn’t go well with the popular clergy and his team and he decided to relocate the project to Ede.
It would be recalled that Redeemer’s University is a private university in Ede, off Gbongan-Oshogbo Road, Osun State. Established in 2005, the university is owned by the Pastor Adeboye led ‘The Redeemed Christian Church Of God’.
