RTEAN MEMBERS NOT INVOLVED IN LAGOS CLASH WITH NURTW

The National leadership of RTEAN has washed its hands off the  violent fraction that occurred between members of RTEAN and NURTW  yesterday in the Igando axis of Lagos state.
Reacting through its spokesperson, Mr Ade Ikuesan the association disclaimed the members involved :
Our attention has been drawn to the clash between the RTEAN and the NURTW at the igando area of Lagos State on Tuesday, 20th day of November 2019 and wish to state equivocally that RTEAN Lagos State Branch or any of it’s affiliates is not involved in any clash with the NURTW as been speculated. Those that are referred to as members of RTEAN are not members of the RTEAN Lagos State Branch as they have been banned from the Association by an order of a court of competent jurisdiction. We call on the government of Lagos State and members of the public to deal with these characters as trouble makers who go about fomenting troubles in the state..

It would be recalled that Many people were feared injured as violent clash broke out on Wednesday between members of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) and the Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria (RTEAN) over the control of the garages in  Igando, Lagos State. The age-long rivalry was rekindled on Wednesday morning as members of both unions
