Following the recent flooding on the Epe/Ijebu-Ode Express, due to the ongoing Construction works around the Lagos and Ogun States boundaries, the administration of Hon. Adeniyi Saliu, the Executive Chairman, Eredo Local Council Development Area has open an Alternative route to Ijebu-Ode.
The Alternative route is Channeled from Odo-Ayan besides Omojoda Market, through Odo-Ajogun Community thereby linking the Lagos and Ogun States boundaries along Ijebu-Ode road.
Saliu said government is about services to the people and so, it becomes necessary to provide an alternative road for Epe/Ijebu-Ode road users, as long as the construction works last to reduce their travelling time and agony on the construction area.
The Council boss appeals to all the road users on that corridor to bear with the government, assures them that the project would be completed as soon as possible.
The Council Mayor also bars the youth in the area from collecting tolls from motorists, says government is about the people and warns that anyone caught will be made to face the law. He disclosed this through the Vice Chairman who also doubles as the Supervisor for Works, Hon. W. Taiwo, while on inspection of the Alternative route. With the Vice Chairman was Hon. Babatunde Awonaike, the Supervisor for Health who also hails from Odo-Ayan Community.
