Poju Oyemade, the senior pastor of the Covenant Christian Center, walked down the aisle today, February 7, 2015, with his ladylove, Toyin Fajusigbe, in Lagos.
The popular pastor was said to have kept mum on the identity of his future wife after he announced his wedding date recently.
The couple had their traditional marriage ceremony on Saturday, February 7,2015.
Among the special guests of honour who attended the event are the All Progressive Congress (APC) Vice Presidential candidate, Pastor Yemi Osibanjo; Pastor David Oyedepo ofLiving Faith Church aka Winners Chapel; and Pastor Paul Adefarasin of House on the Rock.

THE OFFICIATING MINISTERS
Clergies who supervised the union are Bishop David Oyedepo, Pastor Taiwo Odukoya and Pastor Paul Adefarasin. Also sighted at the venue is APC Vice Presidential candidate Professor Yemi Osinbajo.
BETWEEN PASTOR POJU AND WIFE TOYIN
The newly wed are 15years apart, Pastor Adepoju Oyemade is listed as 45 while his wife Oluwatoyin Olabisi is just 30years. The couple’s fathers, Rev. Joshua Omotoso Fajusigbe and Dr. Gabriel Adebola Oyemade are both deceased. Their mothers Mrs. Florence Arike Fajusigbe and Professor Adefunke Oyemade however are present on their joyous day.
A BANQUET FOR 500 GUESTS
The wedding reception tagged “Private” held at ‘The Ark’ Lekki, Lagos. It was a banquet set for 500 guests, with rich menu on the card. No room for uninvited guests, the bouncers at the entry ensured everyone presented their access card before allowed to go into the marquee.
MASTER OF CEREMONY
The MC for the reception is City FM presenter, Gbemi Oscar Oyinsan. The OAP was at the ceremony with his wife, former model and Inspiration FM presenter Titi “Fanta” Oyinsan.
SOFT JAZZ BY DJ SAX
Dishing out soft jazz numbers Inside the marquee while guest strolled in in batches is the individual identified as DJ Sax.
THE OYEMADE’S FAMILY TREE
Pastor Poju Oyemade has three siblings; Nike is the eldest, followed by Gboyega, Poju is the third in the family and Ronke the last baby of the family.
UBIQUITOUS ZAPPHIRE MAIDENS
Sweet looking ladies brought into the venue by the wedding planner, Funke Bucknor Obruthe were everywhere in the venue attending to the needs of the guests.
COUPLE’S HOME
After all said and done Pastor Poju and Mrs Toyin Oyemade settled into matrimony; they later left for their plush abode inside Olarenwaju Estate, Yaba Lagos.
EMERGENCY CHAIRMAN OF OCCASION
The earlier listed person to chair the occasion was Mr. Ayo Ajomo but because he couldn’t make it to the venue Professor Ralph Akinfeleye was drafted in his place. The University of Lagos don came with his wife.
CHILDHOOD FRIEND DISSECTS POJU OYEMADE
One of Pastor Poju Oyemade’s childhood friends Mr. Yuduwe while giving the toast at the reception said he and other friends have waited for long for the day to come. “We’ve been looking forward to this day. Poju is very shy as we all know. When the pressure to marry was too much, he told us he would marry in 2004 and 2005 came nothing happened. It was in 2014 December that he called me to inform me he is ready, I doubted him initially until I spoke to mummy. And when I saw the wife Toyin I realised why Poju took his time. She is a carefully chosen partner; Toyin will make him complete.”
DEJI DOHERTY SIGHTED TOO
Months after losing out of the power equation of Lagos PDP Engr. Deji Doherty may have picked up what remains of himself and moved on to concentrate on his business. He was at the ceremony alongside his wife both looking robust and contented.
YENI KUTI, BOYFRIEND STOPPED BY
Yeni Kuti and her boyfriend Theo Lawson made brief appearance at the ceremony. The lovebirds who adorned attires that conform with the colours of the day didn’t stay long at the event before they disappeared into the hot Lekki afternoon
PASTOR POJU SHUNNED THE DANCE FLOOR
Like someone still learning the rope in matrimony, the much admired teacher of the word, Pastor Poju Oyemade shunned the dance floor when it was time to dance with his wife. He left his wife Toyin and other well-wishers on the dancing floor to attend to guests. At a time he was seen seated with friends chatting while those leaving the arena stopped by to greet him.

While giving the vote of thanks at around 5pm, Pastor Poju Oyemade revealed his wife is not a stranger to him, having known her since she was in her 20s. “Toyin has been my good confidant for like ten years; this is a day for us.” Reading from a well written speech the preacher thanked all that made it to the ceremony and bid them bye.
