Script2Screen Africa TV Reality Show: Battle Begins, Viewing Times Released

The battle has begun. The 60 Finalists who braved all odds to make it into ‘Script2Screen Africa 2018: Filmmaking Reality TV project’ Focus Nigeria; have been grouped into their various groups which consist of both actors and filmmakers.

According to the organizers, the groups are to produce a video for ‘Script2Screen Africa theme song’. Aside being in a group, finalists were also paired ‘one actor to a filmmaker’ to produce a monologue centered on ‘Corruption Free Nigeria’ as their first major task for the week.

One of the highlights of the show for the week was the visitation of Mr. Oladayo Olaide, the Project Coordinator (Nigeria) of John D & Katherine T MacArthur Foundation who is the support organization for the project.

Mr. Oladapo charged the finalist to think deeply and ask themselves why they have decided to be change agents. He said; “Be ready for the challenge. Create ideas using movies as an object to fight corruption because film can indeed be catalyst for revolution.”

He said; “Sow social change in people. Although, your job may come with a price to pay because, when you fight corruption, corruption will always fight back but, be brave and be consistent. The change may not come today or tomorrow but, it will surely come.”
