As Nigerians awaits new breeds of filmmakers who are ready to fight the country’s number one enemy, ‘Corruption’, through a well thought out platform by an indigenous company, High Definition Film Studio, in a show tagged ‘Script2Screen Africa Filmmaking Reality TV project’ Focus Nigeria; with the sub theme “Corruption free Nigeria”, the revolutionist have finally arrived!
From the East, West, South, the far North, Ghana, Gambia and Kenya, these 60 finalist drawn from a poll of over 100, 000 revolutionist stormed Lagos, the host city of the reality TV show themed “Film as a catalyst for revolution”, which is focusing on raising a new breed of filmmakers who believed that film still has the nitty-gritty and the capacity to create positive change in every society.
As early as 7am on Saturday March 24, 2018, finalists were already at the prestigious Silverbird Galleria, their point of reception and departure to the battle ground.
With big but well packaged bags like a real soldier, they await the ultimate glory and the quest to be the change agents they have vowed to be.
Surrounded by friends, families, onlookers and the media; it was a high octane reception party for these gallant soldiers.
With great buzz and the paparazzi going on, these change agents who have made up their minds to forget the pleasures of this world in other to contribute their own quota in the fight against corruption looked unperturbed.
As some engaged the media in sharing their strategies in combating this cankerworm, others were seen networking, familiarizing and getting refreshed after a long journey from around the world.
They could not hide the joy of meeting again after weeks of rigorous drills and hours on hot seats during their auditioning as they graced the red carpet full of cameras and flashes from every angle.
In twos, they were ushered in to the reception hall to confirm their readiness for honor, glory and transformation.
Welcomed by the Project Director, Osas Iyamu and Bright Wonder, who is the visioner and the CEO of High Definition Film Studio, finalists were formally welcomed and charged to truly show the attributes of a change agent they have vowed to be.
After hours of excitement, refreshments, familiarizing and network, their journey to the ‘reality’ ground began. What a joyous ride from the departure ground in Victoria Island to a heaven on earth estate along Eleko beach at Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos.

The camp Director, Oma, who is already awaiting their arrival, showed them round the environment. With a drone flying above them, their joy and excitement knew no bound as they settled into their hostels after a hot ‘Nigerian Jollof Rice’ and chicken.
Supported by John D & Katherine T MacArthur Foundation, Script2Screen Africa Reality TV show, will run from March 24 – April 21, 2018, with an intensive training, mentorship and support for the vision of these filmmakers, who with thought provoking short and feature films will pioneer positive revolution in Nigeria, and across the continent of Africa.
