The 24th Anniversary of the prestigious Crime Reporters Association of Nigeria Award (CRAN AWARD 2017) was held on Thursday, November 30th 2017, 10am at the Sheba Event Center, Mobolaji Bank, Anthony Way, off Kingsway Bus Stop, By Sheraton Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos, Nigeria.
Mr. Odita Sunday-Udemaguna, the President of Crime Reporters Association of Nigeria (CRAN) while delivering his welcome address stated that “CRAN has had the privilege of relating with major stakeholders in Nigeria’s public and private sectors through occasions like this and such relationship has undoubtedly become robust and enduring, hence, we could boast of this great number of personalities here present today. It is in this light, I would briefly commend personalities like the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Ibrahim Kpotun Idris whose support for CRAN has remained immeasurable”.
Quite outstanding indeed as it was; the most outstanding taskforce chairman of the year award 2017 went to SP Olayainka Egbeyemi, the Helmsman of Lagos state task force on Environmental sanitation and special offences (Enforcement) Unit (Task Force). Mr. Odita during the presentation of the award plaque to SP Saheed Olayinka Egbeyemi eulogized the great achievements recorded by the recipient within Lagos and Nigeria in general as a gallant serving Police officer. Mr Alausa Olawale, the Admin Secretary of Lagos state task force with other members of the squad were fully on ground to support their chairman.
