The Governor-Elect of Taraba state, Agbu Kefas has presented his certificate of return to the Aku-Uka Of Wukari during a visit to his hometown yesterday, Friday 31st of March, 2023.
This was borne out of the need to show gratitude to the people of Wukari for their massive support during the governorship election that was held a few weeks ago.
On arrival at his hometown, a mammoth crowd followed the governor-elect, Agbu Kefas to the palace of the Aku-Uka as they were filled with joy due to the victory of their son in the keenly contested election.
While receiving the certificate of return, Aku-Uka of Wukari expressed joy at Kefas’ accomplishment in the just concluded election. He acknowledged his humility and prayed for divine wisdom for him to lead the people of Taraba.
He urged him to remain steadfast, committed to the service of the people of Taraba and not backtrack from the campaign promises which pushed the people to vote for him in the election.
In his reaction, Agbu Kefas reiterated his determination to work hard and fulfil his duties as the elected governor of Taraba state.
Governor-elect, Agbu Kefas has hit the ground running since he won the election. He has made successful efforts to bring the opposition together in order to work for the progress of Taraba. He has also met several investors across the country to discuss plans to make Taraba a better state than it is presently.
His agenda for the people of Taraba includes but not limited to Health care, security, agriculture, road infrastructure, quality education, employments for the youths, to mention a few
