The governor-elect of Taraba state, Dr. Agbu Kefas is set to restructure the health sector in the state for the benefit of indigenes and residents.
The health sector has been neglected for many years and this has contributed to the deteriorating condition of health care centres in the state. Most of them lack the necessary equipment and manpower needed to effectively run a standard health care centre.
However, according to a statement issued by the acting SSA on online media to the Taraba state governor-elect, Oluwatosin Alex, the health sector will be given utmost attention in the coming dispensation.
The governor-elect who described the declining state of health centres as a monstrosity declared that his administration will equip the centres with the required medical equipment to enable them function successfully for the sake of Taraba residents.
Dr. Agbu Kefas explained the need for a state to have functional health care centres, proclaiming that easy access to health care increases quality of life.
Apart from equipping the centres with the required instruments, Dr Agbu Kefas affirmed that skilled health workers that understand the ethics of their profession will be employed, for the sake of the good people of Taraba state.
