Tension in Ijeshaland As Obanla,Alaye Arrested and Released By SIB

Ijeshaland has been in the news of late due mainly to imbroglios between the Owa-obokun Adimula Oba Adekunle Aromolaran II and some of his traditional chiefs.

In a previous interview with members of the press, the Obanla of Ijeshaland, HRH Dr Oyekanmi Ogedengbe and Alaye, High chief Simeon Olaleye Oginni alleged that several misdemeanors by the Kabiyesi are anti-progress and the main cause of stagnation for Ijeshaland.

Earlier today, in a phone chat with BackstageStoryTV, the Alaye confirmed his arrest as well as Obanla’s by officers of SIB in Ilesha and he says he will be on his way to Oshogbo shortly

Reasons for his arrest are still sketchy as at the time of filing this report but it may not be unconnected with their impasse with the kabiyesi, Owa-Obokun of Ijeshaland.

The Paramount Ruler of Ijeshaland is yet to respond to series of questions posited to him on several allegations about his disposition on various issues in Ijeshaland. His PRO, Elder T. A Olatunbosun assures that the Kabiyesi will respond but his feedback is still being awaited.
