Tinubu Opens Up On Why He picked Kashim Shettima as running mate

Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the APC Presidential candidate has confirmed former governor and serving senator Kashim Shettima as his running mate.
He made the formal announcement in Daura, Katsina state on Sunday, after meeting President Muhammadu Buhari.
Asked by journalists who is his choice is, he answered: Kashim Shettima.
The announcement comes about the same time the placeholder running mate, Ibrahim Kabir Masari tendered his resignation.
The Tinubu campaign office released a statement signed by the Media and communications director, Bayo Onanuga about the development:
All Progressives Congress Presidential Candidate and National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Sunday confirmed Senator Kashim Shettima as his Vice Presidential candidate.
Tinubu personally disclosed his choice to journalists at the Daura residence of President Muhammadu Buhari.
The APC flag bearer arrived Daura Sunday afternoon to pay Sallah homage to President Buhari who arrived his home town on Friday.
Senator Shettima is former Governor of Borno State and a close associate of Tinubu who has been a staunch supporter and campaigner for the choice of Tinubu as the next President of Nigeria.
He toured many states with Tinubu since December 2021 where he addressed party delegates and mobilised support for the former Governor of Lagos State.
