Top 5 Nigerian Celebrities that Died of Kidney Failure  In One Year

 

 

Between 2016 to 2017 , a lot of things have happened that has caused big loss to the entertainment Industry of Nigeria, it is a period that has no doubt seen a lot of stars go down 6-feet with illness that has to do with Kidney Problem

 

 

Among those that have died, this are five remarkable names

 

  • Adeshina Adesanya : Also Known as Pastor Ajidara, This happen to be the most recent one, it was a sudden death, just a day after pictures of him in the hospital surfaced online, it was reported that he died due to kidney failure, Rest In Peace.

  • Olumide Bakare : Next in line is Nollywood Veteran Actor, Olumide Bakare. Last year, pictures of his surfaced online after he was down with kidney illness at the UCH, Ibadan though he came out fine and returned to acting, just a year after, it relapsed and he died.

  • Prince Uche James : Just as help came for him, few weeks later, he died. This is one of the actors who is a major stakeholder in the Nollywood Movie industry. Though he had been sick for long and have asked for financial support from Nigerians. Some weeks before he died, the Governor Of Abia State, Uche Ikpeazu gave him a huge sum of fourteen million naira for treatment abroad but he died before he could be flied.

  • OJB Jezreel : Another celebrity that died in the course of this year due to Kidney disease was Popular Musician, OJB Jezreel. He was some years back flown to india for a kidney transplant which was successful but everything went wrong earlier this year and somehow, it relapsed and it led to his death.

 

  • Chike Bryan : Popular  Nollywood actor and former President of Scriptwriters  Guild of Nigeria, SGN, Chike Bryan  is also on the list . Bryan died  three years after he survived a kidney transplant in India, and less than two  weeks after the industry lost another veteran actor, Prince James Uche to the cold hands of death.
