Two die as Pensioners stage protest over 10 months debt in Benue

The Benue state Government is in the news again as pensioners in the state are staging a protest for their 10months pension debt. It was gathered that the protest has been on for two days.

One sad incident that accompanied the protest is the death of one Mr Sunday Agbo and Mr Lawrence Ateke who slumped during the match to the Benue state assembly for the protest.

While the protesters were approaching the gate, to press forward their demands through the speaker of the house, they were pushed back by the security officials saying that they were given others from above to deny them entrance into the complex. The pensioners resisted and were eventually allowed to enter.
