Two Notorious Armed Robbers nab in Ikorodu By Ifeoma Ikem

 

Operatives of Lagos state Police Command attacks to Sagamu Divisional station, have arrested two suspected armed robber at Sabo area of Ikorodu at broad day light who specialised in robbing Ikorodu citizens.

 

 

The suspects were said to have attacked some motorists and passers-by before they were caught why robbing another victim around Sabo Ile-Epo Oba by eagle eye who raise alarm.

The suspects are Gbolahan Adebowale,18years and Quadri Giwa Ajina,21year old.

One of the victim,Mrs Agnes a mother, said the suspects robbed her of mobile phone and collected the cash from her at Sabo while she was driving

According to her, the suspects opened fire to scare passers-by away so that they could rob many victims.

Iya Rasidat,a 60 year old business women who went to Sabo Wednesday market,properly known as better market was robbed of her cash.

“the victim said that immediately she alighted from bus the next thing from behind was don’t move your money or i shot you,i have to give them the cash i had on me.

What surprise me was how this small boy robbed passerby and motorists by broad day light . ” this boys are not afraid of anything again, may God save us and the nation,she said”.

When contacted the Police Public Relations Officer, Lagos State Command, Olumuyiwa Adejobi,he said the two suspected armed robbers were almost lynched before the police eventually rescued them.

Items recovered from the suspects are,one barretta pistol and fetish substance

Also the Commissioner of Police ,Hakeem Odumosu, has ordered they transferred to the state Criminal and Investigation Department for proper investigation

He added that the command will not leave any stone unturned to make Lagos safe, noting that every nook and cranny of the state will be adequately policed.

The PPRO added that efforts are on to apprehend other members of the gang as suspects are already making useful statements to assist the police in their investigation.
