UNIPORT lecturer kidnapped as abductors demand N2million ransom

 

A lecturer in the department of Biochemistry at the University of Port Harcourt UNIPORT in Rivers state‎, Reginald Ohiri, was kidnapped by unknown gunmen from his residence at Aluu, the university’s host community on Monday August 1st.

Confirming the incident, the School’s Public Relation Officer, Dr. Williams Wodi said details of the abduction was still sketchy. Students in the school say the kidnappers have placed a N2 million for his release. ‎ UNIPORT in the last one year has witnessed several cases of abduction of its Lecturers.
