Ahead of the 2023 general elections, a former member of the House of Represenatives, *Hon Abiodun Abudu-Balogun* has tasked residents, especially youth in the state to take advantage of the ongoing INEC registration exercise to update their Permanent Voters Card, PVC.
Abudu-Balogun made this appeal at an event on Thursday in Abeokuta, the Ogun state capital.
The APC Chieftain who once represented the people of Ijebu North, Ijebu East and Ogun waterside local governements at the national assembly said youth who have become 18 and above should validate their voting status in order to enable them participate actively in future election.
According to him, it is when youth have their valid voters card that they can vote and equally have a strong voice in who represents their interest at different levels of government.
“It’s also then they can stand the better chance to request for their needs from the government as active participants in the formation process. I will also enjoin those who have either lost or misplaced their voter’s card to revalidate it immediately through the continous registeration exercise”, he added.
Meanwhile, Hon Abiodun Abudu-Balogun has enjoined the people of the state to continue to support the governmnet of Prince Dapo Abiodun in order to impliment more dividends of democracy in Ogun state.
