Vigilante group arrests 2 notorious thieves in Ogun state

A Vigilante group,So safe, in Ogun State said its men have apprehended two suspected burglary thieves in their twenties who specialize in vandalizing  residents properties at wee hours in Alade community.

 

 

 

The suspects are Yusuf Abraham Johnson, 28 years old and Adekunle Rahman, 19 years old who were arrested on February 2nd, 2023.

 

 

This was disclosed through press statement by the Director of Information and Public Relations of the Corps, Assistant Commander Moruf Yusuf said the suspects were arrested at Irewunmi Villa axis,Alade community..

According to him, few weeks ago its men got a report that the new palace of kabiyesi Oba Adeyemi Adelekan Aladegbade 2, Olu of Araromi Alade was burgled and the electrical cables worth four million naira were vandalised.

The statement also reads; the commander in charge of the state Dr Soji Ganzallo instructed the Ado Odo-Ota Zonal Commander of the Corps, ACC Tajudeen Odunmbaku to fish out perpetrators

Two suspects were arrested, one of them Mr Adekunle Rahman confessed that he was part of the two members gang that vandalised the cables in the palace with his accomplice Asumo who is at large.

During his confessional statement the suspect said that during his first operation, he got only seven thousand naira which was not enough to take care of the family but this time Iheplanned the operation with Abraham Johnson because he is new in the game to support me.

The suspects have been transfered to the Nigeria Police Force, Sango Divisional headquarters for further investigation.
