Vigilante group of Nigeria seeks synergy with Police, other security agencies

The Vigilante Group of Nigeria Commandant, Ayeni Koseunti commenced familiarization tour within Lagos and Ogun state to improve a working synergy with the sister security agencies .
The tour which commenced on October 12, 2023 the commandant met with the Assistant Commissioner Shehu Alao,with his entourage AC Ayoola Abiodun Timothy the 2ic, AC Irojah David the admin, AC Adedeji Lamidi the AC Training, CSP Ogunleye Micheal the DVO of Lucky Firber,SP Stella Ubani,the deputy provost, DSV Okanlawon Toyin the head of department ICT and other notable officers of Arms and Light Weapon Control, South West Headquarters.
They visited places like Shagamu area command of Nigeria police force, Shotubo headquarters of the Nigeria Police Force,FRSC Shagamu,the 174 Battalion of the Nigerian Army Odogunyan and also the Ogijo police Divisions respectively.
The command, AC Shehu Alao welcomed the Commandant with his teams and promised to work with the Vigilante Groups of Nigeria(VGN) and requested them to have a functional office of VGN in Shagamu for better synergy.
The FRSC RS2.210 unit command of Mosimi area headed by RS, R.Y. Awe, the unit commander Shagamu, in her response said they will assist and support the VGN Arms and Light Weapon Control South West Command in any capacity and also appreciated the courage of the pragmatic commandant.
Lt. Col. Abdul-Rahmon Muhammed, the Commander of the 174 Battalion of the Nigerian Army ,Odogunyan Ikorodu, said the agencies would be on the same page regarding fighting insecurity and other matters of national development.
Major Duanda I, the 2ic of the command who represented the commander noted that already the VGN teams have shown readiness to the work with others voluntarily and genuinely.
Also he encouraged them to maintain its objectives, visions and be focused in carrying out their civil matters.
