A new reality TV is about to titled ‘ My African TV show’ is about to hit the continent like a storm. It is a reality show where opportunity is given to talented Africans who can portray their culture in using their talent to entertain.
According to the Chairman/CEO, Vincent Oyagha, who is the MD of Vingha Productions, My African reality TV show is borne-out of the desire to promote African culture. It’s a platform where culture is to be celebrated and an avenue to promote the African culture. He made references to a lot of African reality TV shows but has diverted to the foreign way hereby neglecting the African culture.
He also said it is one of a kind as it is innovatively conceived around promoting African culture heritage through creative talents of the youths, between the ages of 18 to 35 years, in the 4 areas of Dance, Music, Comedy and Drama.
He revealed that the show and organizers do not just identify talented individuals but go further to manage their personal career guiding them to fully exploit their talents into global stardom.
He also made it known that this great event will be starting by December and auditioning will be done in 9 cities across Nigeria namely Lagos, Abuja, Ilorin, Benin, Warri, Portharcourt, Owerri and Enugu where 24 contestants will be selected after fulfilling all requirements.
Talking about the benefits to be enjoyed by the contestants, he said that all the 24 contestants will be promoted even after they lose out of the competition and that four winners and Four runner-ups will emerge. Each of the winners will receive an SUV, N5Million cash and 5-year management contract while the first runners-up goes home with cash prizes of N3million each and 5-Year contracts and evictees receive consolation prizes of 5-Year contracts.
In addition, legendary actors, actresses, Musicians, Dancers have also been selected to act as Coaches, Judges, Captains of this great event. Among them are Zark Orji, Fathia Balogun, Femi Adebayo, Ruggedman, Sunny Neji, Paul Obazele, Kaffy, to mention a few.
The Head of Productions, Zack Orji in a statement revealed that what attracted him is the ‘Africaness’ of the project right from the costumes, to the contents of the show and the creation of something unique from various Reality show that is being shown on Television and it’s something every African will love to relate to.
Furthermore, Legendary Musician also revealed that he thought it was a normal reality show but when he went into it, he realized it was heavily African concept and it’s about turning people who have the talent into stars, turning a nobody into somebody.
