VISITATION PANEL PROMISES TO RESOLVE TASCE CRISIS

The Visitation panel set up by the Ogun State Government, to look into the crisis that had engulfed the Tai Solarin College of Education (TASCE), for the past six year, has assured of its commitment to proffer lasting solution towards smooth administration of the institution.

The Chairman of the panel, Professor Kamarudeen Balogun gave this assurance in an interview with the press, shortly after a meeting with the State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun.

The meeting, held in Abeokuta, reviewed the activities of the Committee charged with resolving the crisis confronting the institution.

“The Governor is very anxious to know how far we’ve gone, he wanted to know what are the things government needs to put in place to fast-track our findings and make adequate recommendations, so that normalcy can return to the institution”, he said.

Balogun disclosed that the committee has highlighted some road maps which would help the institution regain its enviable position.

He added that part of the steps highlighted would allow stakeholders and the committee to fast track the process, so that the students could go back to class.

Also speaking, the Provost of the Institution, Dr. Adeola Kiadese, expressed optimism that the panel would come up with quality recommendations that would assist government in resolving the crisis.
