President, Obikobig Youth Forum world wide, comrade Kelly Ogbeide has assured the people of his community of his readiness to pilot their affairs and bring about rapid development in the communities while his tenure lasted.
He also promised to live up to the billings of his executive.
He gave the assurance shortly after he was sworn in as the new president of the association in Benin City, the Edo State capital yesterday.
The Obikobig Youth Forum is a non governmental body set up by sons and daughters of the various communities that fall under Oben, Ikobi, Obozogbe, Nugu and Iguelaba in Orhionmwon Local Government Area of the state which in synergy makes up the Oben Oil and Gas Field that produces 99% oil and gas from the state.
Its aim is to foster and bring about peace, unity and development in the Obikobig communities.
He said he would use his wealth of experience garner over the years in activism to tackle and unmask intruders that tend to sabotage the development of the various communities that fall under the umbrella of Obikobig.
Kelly said the development of the people of the communities is the collective struggle of all noting that through their collective efforts, all they needed to achieved would be possible.
The president further advised the newly elected members to work and abide with all relevant oath of office in order to pilot the affairs of the organization without blemish.
The election which saw other 20 new members elected into various positions, has comrade Kelly Ogbeide as president, Engr. Gentle Agbosare, vice president, Osayande Christopher, general secretary, Wilson Aiwanfo, treasurer.
Others are Goodluck Osama Ogbeide, public relations officer and Barr. Olamide Eniayeye, legal adviser.
