A Female LIB reader was attacked by some robbers this morning at Fadeyi road, Lagos. Narrating the sad and traumatic experience, she said:
“I left my house at Fadeyi at about 5.50am this morning and entered a bus heading to Costain so I could stop at Barracks to join my colleague. As I entered the bus, I was at peace because I noticed there was a man wearing an Army uniform in front and felt the bus was secured.
Few minutes after I settled down, one of the men behind me grabbed my neck, another one collected my phone, wallet and then they started asking me where my ATM card was and how much I have in my account?
They asked me for my ATM pin but I gave them a fake one. They then called on someone to verify if it was correct. The person at the other end told them that the pin wasn’t correct. One of them started beating me. Another one then told me they will rape me if I don’t give them the right pin. The one wearing an Army uniform brought out his gun and pointed it at me, threatening he would shoot me if I don’t give them the right pin. I gave them the correct pin and they called their accomplice who then confirmed that it was the correct one. They also took my Laptop, phone and then gave me N3,000 for transport. They dropped me somewhere in Apapa.
I quickly tried to leave the area I was dropped off at and also tried to contact my bank to block the stolen ATM. It was however late as the money in my bank account had been cleared off.”
