No doubt, Domestic violence has been the order of the day in this dispensation we live in, we hear of child abuse, exploitation, husband maltreating his wife, wife maltreating her husband, child trafficking and all sort of abuse. It has become necessary for well meaning people to stand for the rights of victims of this deadly ‘parasite’ eating up the society. It is in this vein that Inclusive Women International headed by Pat Isorho Eleto was created.
According to her, Inclusive women International started in 2012 in the United Kingdom after series of people called her to complain about being maltreated by their husband/Wife, Human trafficking, and other forms of abuse. She thought, as a social worker based in the United Kingdom, it would be helpful if she gathers professionals in different fields to ensure this is subsided.
It would also be believed that Nigeria can be described as one of the countries that harbours different level of abuse with the victims not getting the deserved Justice while the culprits gets more opportunity to perpetrate unpleasant acts. This is the sole reason she took it upon herself to bring Inclusive Women International to Nigeria six months ago. However, in six months, Inclusive Women International has become a successful Movement in the country a lot of domestic issues, child trafficking have been attended to with victory at the end of it.
Furthermore, she made it known that Child trafficking has been a very serious case in the country ,it has been the movement’s major concern and In this regard, the First Lady of Lagos state, Mrs Abimbola Ambode called her three months ago to tell her about it, showing how bad the situation is.
Speaking about the challenges the movement is currently facing, she mentioned funding as one of it, and partnership from different sectors of the economy.
Meanwhile, she enjoined Nigerians to be of good behaviour, advicing them that Violence isn’t the best option, it is better to simply walk away.
