A few days ago, precisely October 7, 2016, veteran photographer Kelechi Amadi Obi took to his social media accounts ( Face Book and Instaram) to announce he has picked up a pillow seller named Bukola, and he is in the process of transforming her into a super model. The message came in these words “This is Bukola . Some weeks back I was shooting @jidenna on Broad street Lagos and in between takes I saw her across the street selling pillows . Had to call her and give my number. ” if you’re interested in modeling please give me a call” I said. Well she came to the studio and I called my number one MUA @bimpeonakoya and this is what we came up with. I think she will make a great model. What do you think? #africanbeauty#diamondintherough .
Now, the questions from this writer are, if Ty Bello had not spotted a poor bread seller and transformed her into a super model, will our fame photographer have considered this move.? Did he make the move out of genuine love to see a street girl’s life transformed or to earn the same praised TY Bello got from far and near? And ultimately, will he succeed in changing Bukol’s life like Ty Bello did with Olajumoke the bread seller?
Well, only time will tell and best of luck to them.
