Will Toyin Abraham Break the Low Patronage of Nollywood Movies in 2018

It is no longer news that talented actress, Toyin Abraham’s new movie
will be coming to the cinemas from May 11, 2018. Fillers from Cinemas
concerning 2018 Nollywood movies shows that almost everyone have had
low patronage unlike years before.
Many factors may be responsible for this but the question is, will
Toyin Abraham’s new movie, The Ghost and the Tout break this cycle?
In the Ghost and the Tout, Toyin Abraham plays Isila, a young woman
from the ghetto who encounters a ghost in need of her help to
communicate with the people he left behind. Only her can see the
ghost, mind you, which I think is marginally intriguing. At the
ghost’s request, she becomes tangled in solving a murder mystery and
her life takes an interesting turn.
Nollywood veteran actor Dele Odule and Chiwetalu Agu lead the pack
with Ronke Ojo, Chigurl, Chioma Akpotha, Femi Adebayo, Josh2funny,
Lasisi Elenu, Kaffy, Bobrisky and a host of others.
Many Hollywood blockbusters have been released this year which has
made many cinema goers dish Nollywood movies. However, Toyin has
always been a cinema favourite. Going by the success of her last
movie, Alakada Reloaded, the question remains, will her movie be the
first to break the Hollywood monopoly in 2018 or we wait on?
The movie will be released nationwide from May 11, 2018.
