With Agbu Kefas As Governor-Elect, Taraba State Will Experience A Speedy Turn Around By Oluwatosin Alex

The governor-elect of Taraba State, Agbu Kefas has not rested since he won the keenly contested election last month. He has been going from one meeting to another all in the interest of Taraba state and the indigenes.

This is surely an attitude of a leader who doesn’t want to spend more time on frivolities or blaming his predecessors for any wrong, Agbu Kefas has shown to the people of Taraba that he is ready for the job of a governor and knows what needs to be done to move the state to where it deserves to be.

Since he won the election, he has visited several investors across the country, convincing them to invest in his state for the purpose of bringing development. There is no doubt that Taraba state will change rapidly a few months after power is handed-over to the governor-elect, Agbu Kefas.

Among other governors-elect, Agbu Kefas seems to stand out considering his work rate. Arguably, there is no other governor-elect that has shown such a huge dedication despite the stress of the rigorous campaign period.

Away from the conventional method of running governance in Nigeria especially for the newly elected, Agbu Kefas is willing to do things differently and has almost concluded his commissioners list. He took his time to carefully select them based on several criteria that include excellence, commitment, hard work, experience, strength, to mention a few. Every sector of the state will be well-represented in his government, especially the youths. The government of Agbu Kefas will have some of the youngest appointees in the country; a development that is alien but needed in the state.

His Excellency, Agbu Kefas will be working towards increasing the state’s internally generated revenue (IGR) by a whopping 40% within his first 300 days in office. This is incredible and doable because the governor-elect has been working round the clock to put in place structures and strategies that will make it successful.

In his government, the agriculture sector will take a new turn as the state will start producing food materials like raw rice which will be distributed across the country. In a way, Taraba state will be contributing immensely to the country as a whole; a feat that has never been achieved.

Also, road infrastructure, stomach infrastructure, quality education, subsidy of food items, standard power supply will not be left out in his government. With the work rate of the governor-elect, the state will start having positive changes within his first month in office.
