Oko Opo Foundation: Yoruba Assembly Names Amb Adeyemo As Year ’23 Humanitarian Icon

The recently inducted ECOWAS Youth Ambassador, Dr. Babatunde Adeyemo, has been named the ‘Yoruba Youth Humanitarian Icon’ of the Year ’23 by the umbrella body of all yoruba youth organisations; Yoruba Youth Assembly (YYA), for his passion for community, youth empowerment, support to the less privileged members of the society and other humanitarian service through his Oko Opo Foundation, a Non – Governmental Organisation among other communities service projects.

The socio-ethnic group which noted that it had paid more than passive interest in Adeyemo’s personality as a quintessential, pragmatic, visionary and exceptional leader and individual as palpably proven in his real estate practice, said the members came to the conclusion that the experience and effort of the foremost realtor must not go unrecognised by the YYA.

YYA in a letter addressed to Ambassador Babatunde Adeyemo and signed by Hon Olarinde Thomas (President) and Lukman Olawoyin(Secretary – General) to convey the body’s decision to bestow the Yoruba Youth Humanitarian Icon Award on him, also stated that he would be inducted into Chief Jeremiah Obafemi Awolowo Hall of Fame for his exceptional leadership qualities.

YYA, established for the enhancement of unity, peace and youth engagement in
Nigeria in partnership with others across the world for national development, stated that the Yoruba youths stand to gain from the wealth of Adeyemo’s knowledge and experience by identifying and honouring him for his continuous contribution to the growth and development of humanity.

The Daily Crucible reports that the young anti -corruption ambassador recently connected the Arobiologbo community in Ogun State without public power for over six decades to the national grid and celebrated his 44th birthday with a novelty match with Nigeria Correctional Service Centre inmates among other palliatives extended to the less privileged in the society.
