In a statement signed by the Chairman Unity Party of Nigeria, Ogun State, Hon. Chief. Mrs Iredee Oginni, she said Governor Amosun has displayed a Callous, Wicked and Heartless move towards the Civil Servants in Ogun State.
Following the report been circulated, it was apparent for me to react to the issues as it concerns the well-being and welfare of Ogun State Civil Servants.
The NLC issued a short memo, notifying the public that unknown thugs and tout has been unleashed upon them while protesting along water corporation area in the city of abeokuta.
The NLC has decided to embark on this strike following the adamant move of the Governor towards the non-payment of a 13-month co-operative deductions and gratuities.
It should be recalled that the Governor had earlier named the protest as rubbish and tagged the Civil Servants as Fools.
However, I will let Mr. Governor know that as the Number 1 servant in Ogun State, he is indebted to the yearnings of his member, and utmost welfarism should be his watchword, but all I’m seeing is a Non-Challant attitude towards them, she said.
She further explained that Unity Party of Nigeria is ready to back and give the Civil Servants the needed support to actualize their request.
She however said that without mincing words together and proclamation of fallacy, the whole sector in Ogun State has been crippled and thereby yielding a fruitless results.
In the best interest of Mr. Governor he should listen to the plight of the Civil Servants and at least save his face from this shameful act and restore sanity to the development of the State. She Said.
