OGHA Receives Planks Sellers Association Executives On A Familiarisation Visitation

The Ogun State House of Assembly under the leadership of Honorable Suraj Adekunbi, Speaker has received the executive body of the Planks Sellers Association PSA today at the house of assembly complex.
In attendance was Honorable Taiwo Olakunle Oluomo, Deputy Speaker, Honorable Alahusa, the minority leader who ably represented the speaker who attended another assignment as a matter of urgency, also available was the clerk of the house, Alhaji Bisiriyu, Mr Deji Adeyemo, Deputy clerk and press men attached to house of assembly complex.
The chairman of the association, Deacon Alao Sokunbi appeal to the house of assembly to request from Governor Ibikunle Amosun the following on their behalf.
• Implementation of soft loans to the members of planks sellers association to ease their trading.
• Completion of Rounda- Lafenwa roads to enhance smooth driving for the heavy loads transporting planks to Lafenwa sawmill from other states.
•Creation of more forestry to assist the continuity of planks selling in the state and provision of protection to the people of Ogun State.
Reacting to the appeal, Honorable Olakunle Taiwo Oluomo welcomed the association for deeming it fit to approach the house of assembly to tender their requests, also states that a bill has been passed into law asking the state government to create more forestry with the available 9 already in existence.
He urged the executives to charge their members on the need to corporate with the government in stopping illegal feeling of trees in the forest by taking normal process before feeling of trees in the forest., he also charged the association to approach the Bank of Industry BOI through ministry of commerce as he assure them of automatic approval of the loans to the association.
He also assures the plank sellers executives of plans by Governor Ibikunle Amosun to complete all ongoing infrastructural construction before leaving office as he appeal to the planks sellers on the need to support the government of Senator Ibikunle Amosun.
Honorable Alahusa, the minority leader also salute the courage of the executives of the planks sellers association for their request channeling through the house of assembly as he assured them of recognition and partnership as an association.

2027 Ondo North Senate: ATM secures Backing of Monarchs, Chiefs
APC Senatorial aspirant for Ondo North, Abdul Tunji Mohammed, popularly known as ATM, received a resounding endorsement on Thursday during a high-profile visit to Ikare-Akoko.
The endorsement came from the Olukare of Ikare, His Royal Majesty Oba Akadiri Momoh IV, the Owa Ale of Ikare, His Royal Majesty Oba Adeleke Adedoyin, and the Ikare Council of Chiefs, who described ATM as a credible son of the soil with the capacity to represent Ondo North effectively at the Senate.
Speaking at the palace, the Olukare commended ATM for his consistent engagement with the people and his track record in business and community development. “We have watched your contributions to Ondo North over the years. You are one of us, and we believe you have the experience and character to speak for our people in Abuja,” the monarch said.
The Owa Ale, in his remarks, stressed the need for unity and quality representation. He urge him to continue the help to the people at home that he’s doing. He urged other stakeholders to support aspirants with proven commitment to the district’s progress, noting that Ikare and Akoko land require strong voices at the National Assembly.
In his response, Abdul Tunji Mohammed thanked the monarchs and chiefs for their blessings and trust. He reaffirmed his commitment to prioritize infrastructure, education, healthcare, youth empowerment, and agricultural development if elected.
“Ikare is central to Ondo North, and your support strengthens my resolve to serve with integrity and results. I will not betray this trust. My campaign will remain issue-based, and my representation will reflect the hopes of our people,” ATM stated.
The visit was marked by prayers, cultural displays, and solidarity from party leaders, youth, and women groups across Ikare-Akoko.
