Fuji Star, King Saheed Osupa’s Fuji Music Camp Ignites With Momentum

2 July 2025 — Yesterday marked a pivotal step in the evolution of the Fuji Music Camp, the groundbreaking mentorship initiative launched by King (Dr.) Saheed Osupa. The gathering brought together Osupa, top industry producers, seasoned songwriters and composers, alongside Alhaji Arems

Arem Entertainment—now serving as official media consultant and coordinator.

Originally introduced in mid‑June as a strategic effort to mentor emerging Fuji talents across classical and modern sub-genres, the Fuji Music Camp’s inaugural meeting formally launched its first cohort. The goal is clear: uncover new voices who echo the essence of Saheed Osupa, Pasuma Wonder, Wasiu Ayinde, and other Fuji luminaries, ensuring the genre’s continued cultural relevance.

It is important to clarify that this is not an event — it is a long-term initiative. And notably, it is a fully self-sponsored project by Saheed Osupa himself. He is solely responsible for financing the camp, paying everyone involved — producers, composers, songwriters — directly from his own pocket. No one is being charged to participate in any form. This is Osupa’s personal investment into the future of Fuji music.

What Happened :

Mentorship Line-up Takes Shape :

A team of veteran producers, composers, and songwriters has been engaged. Their task: deliver expert guidance on vocal techniques, songwriting, and recording — from single production to polished albums.

Professional Recording & Distribution Path :

Talents discovered through the camp will gain direct access to professional recording facilities and distribution channels through Sony Music Publishing West Africa. Sony’s recent re-engagement with Fuji artists, including Osupa, reflects a growing recognition of the genre’s global potential.

Arems Entertainment Steps In :

With Arems Entertainment on board as media consultant and coordinator, the initiative has a solid structure for visibility, strategy, and project execution.

Personal Advice From Osupa :

During the meeting, KSO expressed his appreciation to everyone in attendance, offered prayers for continued support and success, and shared thoughtful advice. Notably, he encouraged the producers, composers, and songwriters involved to consider establishing their own personal studios — a move he believes would help secure their long-term creative and professional independence.

How Talents Will Be Discovered :

Unlike typical open-call auditions, the Fuji Music Camp will operate through a talent screening and selection process. Discovery will focus on social media platforms — Facebook, Instagram, TikTok — with scouts, producers, and Osupa’s team actively monitoring talents who show potential in the Fuji space.

Once promising individuals are identified, the internal team of producers, composers, and songwriters will screen them further to determine fit. If approved, they’ll be contacted directly, invited to participate, and grouped into a suitable batch for mentorship. This process will take place on a quarterly basis, ensuring consistent intake and grooming.

Additionally, if any of the producers or songwriters already have their eyes on certain individuals — perhaps talents they’ve worked with or spotted offline — those artists may also be nominated for consideration.

It’s worth reiterating: no fee is required from the selected talents. This initiative remains fully funded by Oba Orin Osupa, whose vision is to give genuine talent an opportunity — not to profit from their dreams.

A Chance To Meet Their Mentors :

One standout feature of the Fuji Music Camp is that it provides selected participants with an opportunity to meet the Fuji legends they admire. Whether they sing in the style of Pasuma, K1 De Ultimate, Osupa himself, or others, these artists will have a chance to engage one-on-one with their idols. It’s a rare and valuable moment for rising talents to connect with their mentors in a meaningful, personal setting — something Osupa believes will help them grow both musically and mentally.

Spotlight : A Movement, Not Just A Program

The 2 July gathering marks more than program logistics — it signals real action. With producers and songwriters onboard, Sony Music distribution promised, and Arems Entertainment coordinating, Osupa’s vision is no longer just a proposal. The Fuji Music Camp is now a functioning system of talent discovery, mentorship, and development.

Backed by one of Fuji’s most respected voices and structured to run for five years, this initiative stands as one of the most focused, intentional investments ever made in the genre’s future. Osupa is not just building a camp; he is creating a movement to preserve, elevate, and pass on Fuji music — one hand-picked talent at a time.

Stay tuned. The Fuji renaissance has begun — and the torch is being passed.

Court Summons Doris Ogala Over False Allegations Against Dr. Chris Okafor

Contrary to the narrative actress Doris Ogala has sought to project on social media, the General Overseer of Greater Liberation City, Dr. Chris Okafor, is not behind her recent invitation or attempted arrest by law enforcement authorities.

Rather, sources indicate that the actress is being sought in connection with a pending criminal suit instituted against her by the Federal Government of Nigeria before the Federal High Court, Lagos Judicial Division, over allegations linked to her social media publications concerning the cleric.

The case, filed as Charge No. FHC/L/2/220C/2026 – Federal Republic of Nigeria v. Doris Ogala, is said to be before Honourable Justice Aluko.

According to sources familiar with the matter, officers of the Nigerian Police Force, Zone 2 Headquarters, Onikan, Lagos, attempted to reach Ogala because she was scheduled for arraignment on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, and remains on administrative bail.

“The officers only sought to serve the defendant with the charge and ensure her appearance before the court,” a source disclosed.

Court documents reveal that the Federal Government has filed a four-count charge against Ogala bordering on alleged cyberstalking, dissemination of false information, harassment, and attempted extortion under the Cybercrimes (Prohibition, Prevention, etc.) Amendment Act, 2024.

The charges include allegations that she:

Published nude and intimate photographs of Dr. Chris Okafor without consent;

Made and disseminated allegations accusing the pastor of rape, ritual practices, and involvement in a death;

Published videos and electronic messages allegedly intended to harass, bully, and intimidate him;

Allegedly threatened continued publication of damaging materials unless compensated or provided with a house.

A source close to the matter insisted that Dr. Chris Okafor is not orchestrating the legal action and has no direct involvement in the prosecution beyond being the nominal complainant.

“Sadly, rather than addressing the issues before the court, Doris continues to drag Pastor Chris Okafor into the matter publicly,” the source said.

“The simple position is that whoever makes allegations must be prepared to substantiate them in court. That is all the court requires. Pastor Chris Okafor has moved on and is not pursuing any personal vendetta. She is the one who must answer to the law.”

The development underscores what insiders describe as a legal process driven by the state and not by personal influence, despite attempts to portray the matter otherwise online.

Opposition Smearing INEC Chairman Out of Desperation — Ajulo Declares Tinubu’s Victory Inevitable

Opposition Smearing INEC Chairman Out of Desperation — Ajulo Declares Tinubu’s Victory Inevitable

ABUJA — The Ondo State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Kayode Ajulo (SAN), has accused opposition elements of orchestrating a calculated smear campaign against the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Joash Amupitan (SAN), insisting that such actions stem from their acceptance of imminent electoral defeat.

In a strongly worded press statement issued on Sunday, Ajulo argued that the opposition has abandoned genuine political engagement and has instead resorted to “the politics of discredit,” targeting the electoral umpire in a bid to undermine public confidence.

According to him, the attacks on the INEC chairman are deliberate attempts to weaken the credibility of the electoral process ahead of the next presidential election, which he claimed has already been “decisively won” by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

“The opposition knows the battle is lost. What they now implement is not resistance, but the politics of discredit,” Ajulo stated.

He described Prof. Amupitan as a “steadfast guardian of Nigeria’s democratic process,” warning that efforts to discredit him would ultimately fail as Nigerians “see through the smoke.”

Ajulo further anchored his argument on Nigeria’s political history, recalling a period when the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) dominated the political landscape with a majority of state governors, while Tinubu, then leading the Alliance for Democracy (AD), controlled only Lagos State.

He said the political evolution that led to the rise of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its current dominance across many states reflects what he described as “a profound feat of strategy, resilience, and leadership.”

The attorney-general also noted that, unlike previous political realignments, the APC under Tinubu has not experienced defections of governors, but has instead attracted members from opposition parties.

He maintained that the current wave of criticism against INEC leadership is rooted in fear of electoral loss rather than legitimate concerns about the commission’s integrity.

Ajulo concluded by urging Nigerians to remain vigilant and resist attempts to erode trust in democratic institutions, emphasizing that “the mandate of the people will stand.”
