It was a moment of divine joy, heartfelt worship, and history in the making as Zion Heritage Ministries held its Annual Convention 2025, tagged, Transformed By Grace, this October, culminating in the dedication of a magnificent 3,000-seater church auditorium at the ministry’s National headquarters in Umuahia.

The atmosphere was electric with faith and celebration as thousands of worshippers, dignitaries, ministers of the gospel, and guests from across Nigeria and beyond gathered to witness this landmark event, a true testament to God’s faithfulness and visionary leadership.

From the opening sessions, the convention radiated with revival fire, powerful teachings, prophetic impartations, and an overflow of testimonies that reaffirmed Zion Heritage Ministries’ mandate: “Raising Kingdom Royalties Who Shall Rule and Reign for Christ across the Seven Mountains of Influence.”

The highlight of the convention was the dedication of the new 3,000-seater cathedral, a stunning architectural edifice standing as a beacon of grace and growth in the city of Umuahia. With its modern design, state-of-the-art facilities, and atmosphere of excellence, the auditorium represents a new phase of expansion and divine impact for the fast-growing ministry.

In an emotional and power-packed dedication service, Bishop Okwudili Eze, The Mandated Prophet and Founder of Zion Heritage Ministries, alongside Pastor Dr. Ifeoma Eze, Co-Founder and President of The King’s Rubies, led the congregation in thanksgiving and consecration prayers. Both leaders reflected on the ministry’s humble beginnings on May 13, 2007, when, by divine instruction and unwavering faith, they planted the first seed of what has now become a thriving spiritual movement.

Bishop Okwudili Eze, in his message, emphasized that the new auditorium is not just a physical structure but a prophetic symbol of expansion, excellence, and global relevance for the Kingdom. “This building stands as proof that when God gives a vision and one remains steadfast in obedience, no force can stop its manifestation,” he declared.

Pastor Dr. Ifeoma Eze, in her heartfelt address, expressed deep gratitude to God and to every member of the Zion Heritage family for their love, service, and sacrifice over the years. She charged the congregation to “keep shining as Kingdom ambassadors and let this new season birth greater works in every sphere of influence.”

The weekend-long convention featured powerful ministrations from both Bishop Okwudili and Pastor Dr. Ifeoma Eze, electrifying worship sessions, creative presentations, and special moments of reflection on the ministry’s journey from a small gathering to a global movement transforming lives.

As the convention drew to a close, one thing was evident, Zion Heritage Ministries is entering a new chapter marked by growth, glory, enlargement and greater exploits. From a modest beginning in 2007 to a monumental milestone in 2025, the story of Zion Heritage Ministries continues to inspire faith, excellence, and resilience in the body of Christ.

Indeed, the dedication of the 3,000-seater auditorium stands as a shining testimony that what God begins, He sustains, multiplies, and perfects, to the glory of His name and the advancement of His Kingdom.

Obasa rallies party members at Lagos APC stakeholders’ forum

Ahead of the 2027 general election, Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. (Dr) Mudashiru Obasa has assured members of the All Progressives Congress, APC, that the leadership will continue to support them so that they can effectively mobilise votes for the party.

Obasa made this promise in his address at the maiden Lagos State APC Stakeholders Forum held at the convention centre of the Eko Hotel and Suites on Tuesday, October 21.

The forum was attended by a broad spectrum of party leaders, caucuses, and faithful, including ministers, senators, federal and state lawmakers, members of the Lagos State executive council, local government chairmen, royal fathers, and representatives of various trade associations.

In his brief yet impactful remarks, Speaker Obasa addressed a critical concern among party members regarding the reward system for those who dedicate themselves to the party before and during elections. He encouraged them to remain focused, cooperative, and diligent as they prepare for the 2027 elections, particularly in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid.

Speaker Obasa said, “We will continue to support you so that you will be motivated to keep working for the success of the party at all levels.”

Obasa also endorsed Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s motion calling for President Tinubu’s re-election.

Similarly, former Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola in his presentation themed: “Voter Apathy and the Sanctity of Election in Nigeria’s Budding Democracy,” also cited a poor reward system as a major factor why members of any political party will become lethargic in matters concerning the party.

According to the former Minister of Works and Housing, “Political party participation is based on enthusiasm. Therefore, to avoid voter apathy, we must interrogate the reward system for our members.”
He urged the party to strengthen its internal reward system as a means of motivating party members and sustaining their commitment to the party’s success.

Fashola also lauded the state chapter of the party for convening the forum, and urged its continuity and spread across the nation.

Earlier, Cornelius Ojelabi, the state chairman of the APC, thanked lagosians for supporting the party during the last LG election, and all those who contested, for their commitment and support. He assured that those who lost would get a refund of the money spent in purchasing nomination forms, a commitment he said was made by President Tinubu, and which the party is duty-bound to fulfill.

Agbaje Lukmon Abiodun, yesterday inaugurated a groundbreaking empowerment initiative. This program is explicitly aligned with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and is aimed directly at alleviating poverty and fostering sustainable economic growth within the community.

As part of this pioneering effort, 100 carefully selected beneficiaries were each awarded ₦100,000 in cash funds. This injection of capital is designed to support and expand their existing small-scale businesses, providing an immediate and tangible boost to their operations. This direct investment demonstrates the administration’s unwavering commitment to enhancing the livelihoods of residents and promoting genuine economic independence at the grassroots level.

Speaking at the official flag-off ceremony, Chairman Agbaje Lukmon Abiodun highlighted that this is not merely a political gesture but a sustainable, long-term empowerment strategy.

“This program will be sustained every month throughout our tenure. Our administration is committed to delivering a people-oriented mandate, ensuring that every action we take positively transforms the lives of our constituents,” Chairman Agbaje stated.

The Chairman further emphasized his administration’s determination to eradicate poverty and create inclusive opportunities, reinforcing the “Ijoba Irorun” (Government of Ease) philosophy.

“We will not rest until all our people are empowered and their aspirations fulfilled. Together, we will build a community rich in opportunities, where poverty is a thing of the past, and every citizen has the tools to succeed. This initiative represents a critical step in fulfilling the promises of the Renewed Hope Agenda, with a strong focus on grassroots development and community transformation,” he added.

The monthly nature of this disbursement positions the Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA as a model for sustainable local governance, proving that consistent investment at the community level is the most effective pathway to achieving broad-based prosperity. The LCDA remains dedicated to fostering a society where every resident can thrive, achieve their full potential, and contribute meaningfully to the growth of Lagos State and Nigeria as a whole.
