Again, Wells Carlton Shines, Wins Hotel of The Year
It was a night of glitz, glamor and recognition of excellent luxurious services in the hospitality industry as Nigeria No 1, 5 star Luxury Hotel, Wells Carlton Hotel and Apartment emerged the 2019 Hotel of the year.

The award ceremony which took place at the prestigious Oriental hotel, Lagos also attracted giants and Captain of industries from all sectors.
The award is the fourth in less than one year after the elegant and stunning hotel was commissioned by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, at a colourful ceremony in 2018.
Among awards won earlier in the year, include, the Jumia Awards, Archibuilt Awards of Excellence In Hospitality Development and the Who is Who award of Excellence in Hospitality.
The General Manager of Wells Carlton, Wayne Quin, who was represented by the Head, Sales and Marketing Manager, Jerry Opiughie, described the award as a great honour and thanked the Chairman of Wells Carlton, Captain Hosa Okunbo for creating a world brand.


“It is a great honour for us at Wells Carlton hotel and apartment and to our great Chairman who has given us the opportunity. He created the platform for the hotel to be recognised. The award goes to show that we are actually up to the task.
He said the hotel is ready to expand it’s brand beyond the shores of Nigeria to other Countries of the world.
The Executive Director and Nigeria Entrepreneur Award, the organizers of the award, Joshua Uwabor had noted that out of the 3, 624 nomination received across various sector of the economy, the “sterling performance and exceptional contribution” of Wells Carlton Hotels and Apartments to the nation’s economy was noteworthy for the recognition.
He said the event is honour outstanding entrepreneurs and Corporate organization for their vital role and contributions to the growth of the economy.
Recalled that the billionaire Chairman/Chief Executive officer of Wells Carlton Hotels and Apartment, Dr Idahosa Wells Okunbo, had stated that the Wells Carlton brand represent tenacity, perfection, integrity and excellence as far as the tourism/hospitality sector in concern.
