Akinwunmi Ambode Set to co-host Media Nite Award with Akwa Ibom State Gov. Udom Emmanuel

Lagos state governor Akinwunmi Ambode and his counterpart from Akwa Ibom State, Mr.Udom Emmanuel will co host 2015 edition of the Nigeria Media Nite Out Awards. The Prestigious Awards ceremony – the 9th edition will hold on September 20th at Time Square Entertainment and Events Center Ikeja Lagos.
This year’s awards will no doubt mark the 9th consecutive year of rewarding excellence and good efforts of performing media personalities, corporate bodies and supporting individuals. Many hardworking journalists and Corporate Organisation have been rewarded in the past and we are still working to ensure the media industry is getting the necessary accolades deserved.
Listed as the chairman board of trustee Nigeria Media Nite Out Award is Hon. Dr. Bello Mohammed ( Mon), former chairman House Committee on Security and Intelligence. Alhaji Lai Mohammed, National Director of Publicity, APC has been listed as guest speaker for the day. Hard working journalists from various categories listed for award are Political Writer of the year, Society Writer of the year, Editor of the year, Crime Writer of the year, Entertainment writer of the year and many more.

Meanwhile, three editorial staff of News watch Times has been nominated for the prestigious award in their respective fields . Folake Sokoya will contend with Kunle Akinwande of Nation,, Kunle Fabiyi,of Punch Evelyn Usman of Vanguard and Ngozi Umujare of The Sun for the award of The Best Crime Writer of the Year. Biodun Komolafe who was also nominated last year will slug it out with Stanley Opara of Punch, Chukwu Onaeke of Guardian, Collins Nweze of The Nation and Maduka Nweke of The Sun as the Best Business Writer of the year, while Mansur Oladunjoye will try his luck against Ade Akanbi of Punch, Emmanuel Aziken of Vanguard as the Politics Writer of the Year

2027 Ondo North Senate: ATM secures Backing of Monarchs, Chiefs
APC Senatorial aspirant for Ondo North, Abdul Tunji Mohammed, popularly known as ATM, received a resounding endorsement on Thursday during a high-profile visit to Ikare-Akoko.
The endorsement came from the Olukare of Ikare, His Royal Majesty Oba Akadiri Momoh IV, the Owa Ale of Ikare, His Royal Majesty Oba Adeleke Adedoyin, and the Ikare Council of Chiefs, who described ATM as a credible son of the soil with the capacity to represent Ondo North effectively at the Senate.
Speaking at the palace, the Olukare commended ATM for his consistent engagement with the people and his track record in business and community development. “We have watched your contributions to Ondo North over the years. You are one of us, and we believe you have the experience and character to speak for our people in Abuja,” the monarch said.
The Owa Ale, in his remarks, stressed the need for unity and quality representation. He urge him to continue the help to the people at home that he’s doing. He urged other stakeholders to support aspirants with proven commitment to the district’s progress, noting that Ikare and Akoko land require strong voices at the National Assembly.
In his response, Abdul Tunji Mohammed thanked the monarchs and chiefs for their blessings and trust. He reaffirmed his commitment to prioritize infrastructure, education, healthcare, youth empowerment, and agricultural development if elected.
“Ikare is central to Ondo North, and your support strengthens my resolve to serve with integrity and results. I will not betray this trust. My campaign will remain issue-based, and my representation will reflect the hopes of our people,” ATM stated.
The visit was marked by prayers, cultural displays, and solidarity from party leaders, youth, and women groups across Ikare-Akoko.
