Campaigns of Calumny will not Stand against Fani Kayode”- Adebisi Adeola

Published

on

I have been reliably informed of a misleading publication titled “The Spy Who Fooled Us”;  which was authored and designed against our own former Minister of Aviation, Chief Femi Fani Kayode by one gangster and attention-seeker who goes by the name Dr Bolaji O. Akinyemi.

It is not only unfortunate but disheartening that a respected human rights advocate, voice of the masses, nation builder and highly cerebral personality like Fani Kayode could be mud- dragged by this bellicose accuser who has not contributed essentially to the development plans of Nigeria and her existence.

Fani Kayode had earlier empathized with the family of his late friend, the former Chief of staff to president Buhari, Malam Abba Kyari during his appearance on AIT during the week which has prompted this contemptuous attacks.
No quantum of coordinated media attacks or conspiracies from disgruntled elements can discourage the frantic efforts being made by Femi Fani Kayode per day towards achieving a working Nigeria which every common man prays for. I want to reiterate firmly that the concocted article was not written by a former minister, revered Professor Bolaji Akinyemi who had also sent his tribute to President Buhari on the death of Malam Abba Kyari.”
“It is a known fact that Chief Fani Kayode and Abba Kyari were intimate friends before he was appointed by President Buhari. Abba Kyari was a technocrat and reliable aide to the president before he died. However, different opinions have ensued on his personality and roles in government, without recourse to the fact that no evil should be said of the dead
It is belief that all attacks should be directed to President Buhari who appointed Abba Kyari for not living up to his responsibility, not Fani Kayode who gave his personal synopsis of his relationship with an old friend, devoid of any political sentiments
It is public knowledge that Chief Femi Fani Kayode is a nationalist and a detribalized Nigeria; who is loved and appreciated by many especially for his courage to speak to authority not minding whose ox is gored.
The faceless Bolaji should recount his contributions to the sustainability of our democracy since Buhari’s government had emerged. And in the absence of none, he should be told that no evil orchestration target at FFK will see the light of the day.
It is indisputable fact that Chief Fani Kayode has been an unrepentant critic of inept leadership, spurious policies, abuse of power, marginalization and others in Nigeria even before he joined politics. What should be our major concern is how to get Nigeria working, not a coordinated attacks on someone who has kept Buharis’s government on its toes.
Rather than speaking ill of the dead in the face of Coronavirus pandemic that is ravaging lives in Nigeria and other parts of the world, I advise Nigerians to adhere strictly to NCDC safety guidelines to stop its spread, charging Nigerian leaders to live up to their responsibilities–
