Dasuki Wants Ex-President To Testify In Court

Published

DasukiNigerian President Goodluck Jonathan speaks to the media on the situation in Chibok and the success of the World Economic Forum in Abuja

Former National Security Adviser (NSA), Sambo Dasuki who is being prosecuted for alleged corruption, wants former president Goodluck Jonathan to be his witness at the court after the ex said he didn’t believe the former national security adviser stole $2.2 billion meant for the purchase of arms.

The former president speaking on Monday, October 24, at the famous Oxford Union, Oxford United Kingdom, on youth entrepreneurship argued that allegations about the $2.2 scam was faulty because his administration, where Dasuki served bought warships, aircraft and a lot of equipment for the military during the period.

Dasuki’s counsel, Ahmed Raji (SAN) said the ex-NSA wants Jonathan to appear as a witness in court.

Raji said: “It will be desirable for Jonathan to testify for the ex-NSA. It will throw greater light into grey areas. And it will serve the interest of Justice.

“It will be fantastic for him to go to court to testify. Dasuki is an agent of a disclosed and known principal.”

He added, “But, frankly speaking, I pray for a political solution to the problem because of the characters involved.

“Both the accused and the government should embrace a political solution to the problem.”

A source also confirmed that Dasuki is hoping Jonathan will agree to appear before the court.

“All is set for the defence of Dasuki, who is still insisting on an open trial to let Nigerians know the beneficiaries of the arms cash.

“One of those who may testify is ex-President Goodluck Jonathan whose remarks in London appeared to be the first phase of the war chest of the ex-NSA.

“You know the ex-NSA said he acted on Jonathan’s instructions in disbursing some of the cash. And from the look of things, the ex-President is now ready to accept responsibility for whatever Dasuki did.

“We believe it has reached a level that Nigerians must know what really happened, how funds were disbursed and who got what.

“This is why a secret trial is not a viable option, with the way things are going,” the source said.

YouTube Hits Maureen Badejo Again, Yanks Her New Channel Opened to Defame Apostle Suleman

Barely two weeks after her two prominent YouTube channels were removed for violating electronic broadcast rules, London based VLogger, Maureen Badejo, has suffered another blow. Her newly-acquired channel called ‘Maureen Badejo TV, has again been brought down by YouTube.

A famous televangelist and general overseer of the Omega Fire Ministries, Apostle Johnson Suleman, had few months ago, complained to the Google-owned video sharing platform of Badejo’s consistent attacks on his (Suleman’s) personality and his evangelism works using YouTube platform. The man of God later approached the law court to compel YouTube including Badejo and others for redress.

YouTube, in a written apology tagged ‘Outcome of Investigation’ to Suleman and seen by this medium, said; “Our internal team has completed their review and have taken appropriate actions in accordance with our policies, including the removal of videos that were found to violate our community guidelines. This has resulted in the termination of the channels, GIOTV Foundation and Maureenbadejosblog TV for violating our harassment and cyber-bullying policy.

Few days after the channels were yanked, Maureen Badejo opened new one purposely to continue her unprovoked attacks on Apostle Suleman. However, sources within the OFM church said, without a fresh formal complaint either by the cleric of any of his ministers or aides, the YouTube platform, which seemed to have been following Maureen since the last event, discovered her latest misadventure and promptly removed it.

An OFM top source stated that Apostle Suleman refused to make a fuss throughout Maureen’s eight-month attacks because “he is naturally a tolerant and patient man. But once he starts a battle he doesn’t let go.

Responding on behalf of Suleman, a top OFM minister said the servant of God has always relied on the Scriptures, which says; “We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.”

Maureen, London based, has regularly been using her social media platforms to haul insults at notable men of God, including Pastor Enoch Adeboye of RCCG, Apostle Johnson Suleman of OFM, Dr. Daniel Olukoya of MFM, among several other Christian leaders. And each time, her strategies backfired just like it happened when after attacking Dr Olukoya consistently for over twelve months via her platforms, she got a huge backlash with the court perpetually stopping her from further attacking Olukoya as well as slamming her huge sums in compensation.
It’s also a warning to bloggers not to dabble Into things they don’t know in order not to affect their channels.
