*ABEOKUTA* – After expressing interest in the coveted number one seat of Ogun State under Labour Party, the former Green Eagles Captain and an Ex-international, Chief Segun Odegbami on Tuesday has officially registered with the Party in the state.
Odegbami who was welcomed into the Party by the Ogun State Chairman of Labour Party, Comrade Abayomi Arabambi also supervised his registration.
Chief Odegbami said he decided to join the Party because he was convinced of the Party programmes and manifesto.
He said he will contest as Governor under Labour Party in order to better the lots of the People.
Chief Odegbami said he put welfare of the people of the state a priority if elected the governor of the state in the 2019 general elections.
He noted that qualitative health care delivery and education would be his priority when he gets to power.
He said, “Our government which would be led by Labour Party will provide qualitative healthcare delivery system by building hospitals where necessary. Necessary facilities for proper care, including drugs and personnel would be provided.
“I believe that only people with sound health can work and even enjoy any amenities provided by government”.
Welcoming Odegbami to the Party, the State Chairman of Labour Party, Comrade Abayomi said Chief Odegbami is one of the credible individuals in the Country today adding that the Party wholeheartedly welcome the football legend.
He opined that his experience will surely be a very good tool in ensuring that Labour Party being a people’s party will win all elections in the State.
