In a bid to revive the passion for history and discovery of roots by Nigerians, the winner of the much publicised Face of Candy City Tourism, Chioma Iwuchukwu is set to team up with Imo state Government, Lagos state Government, Niger Delta Development Commission, some Nigerian senators for a tourism project which she titled ‘ Trace’. This is coming few months after she was crowned the winner of the popular pageant.

While addressing Journalists, she noted that lots of Nigerians find it difficult to know their roots or trace their history and this is responsible for a lot of things in the country presently. Hence, there is need for the awareness to make everyone know the importance in knowing their background, history and roots.

‘’ This project is unique because a lot of Nigerians don’t know their history. They don’t even teach history in schools anymore which isn’t supposed to be but even teachers don’t know it. If someone can bring out all this things in them, I think we will have a lot to write about this country. People will know where they are coming from, a lot of things will happen, there is a lot to write about TRACE, it’s going to inspire a lot of people, some have ideas and can’t execute, everyone is afraid, this project will help to correct that.

Reflecting back to the moment of the contest, she revealed they were over 300 and that a lot of people discouraged her because they thought she won’t win but because she has always been a goal getter, she never gave up and it has paid off for her.

The Imo-state born beauty also revealed that apart from modelling, she now has a company ‘ Autovance repairs’ which deals with car repairs in Owerri, Imo state.

‘’ I just set up a company Autovance repairs and programming centre which located at the modern new mechanic village and the structure was built by us so it’s a very well planned decision. For the past 22 years, my dad was into that so we are running a partnership now’.

Like It is widely known that all models go into entertainment at one point in their career, Chioma Iwuchukwu has said that she’s currently planning to go into acting anytime soon.

Speaking about her challenges during the contest, she made it known that she faced a lot

‘’I was in Owerri at that time and coming to Lagos was difficult for me because I had no money, even during our time in camp, I had no money with me, that was one of the greatest challenges I faced’

Furthermore, she spoke about the secret of her success

‘’ In life, you need ideas, you don’t just wait for the government. When some people are done with school, they tell you they are looking for job, I don’t think that works for me. I created the idea myself and it worked. Anything we have today, we started from the scratch, nobody helped, not even government. So any entrepreneurs out there need to create ideas. When I was doing this business, people said it is meant for men but I tell them there’s no business that isn’t for everybody and as an entrepreneur, you don’t need a lot of money, all you need is the ideas, you don’t need millions to become somebody, there are people who have millions and don’t know how to make use of it. People started business with N4,000 and they have grown big today.’’

Furthermore, she lauded the organisers of Candy city pageant for keeping to their promises in terms of the rewards attached to the victory.

Primate Ayodele Never Said Seyi Makinde Would Become President’’ – Media Aide Clarifies*

*‘’Primate Ayodele Never Said Seyi Makinde Would Become President’’ – Media Aide Clarifies

Following multiple reports on the internet that renowned prophet, Primate Elijah Ayodele prophesied that the governor of Oyo state, Engineer Seyi Makinde would become Nigeria’s president, Osho Oluwatosin, the media aide to the prophet has dismissed the reports as false.

Primate Ayodele Never Said Seyi Makinde Would Become President’’ – Media Aide Clarifies*

Osho Oluwatosin categorically stated that there was never a time Primate Ayodele mentioned that Seyi Makinde would become Nigeria’s president either ahead of the 2027 election or after.

He stated that Primate Ayodele only gave advice to Governor Seyi Makinde to begin consultation for a higher ground in his political career but never mentioned presidency as the higher ground he meant.

Oluwatosin further noted that Primate Ayodele didn’t specify exactly what higher position he was talking about with his prophecy but he simply advised the governor to start preparing for a next chapter politically in order to remain relevant after his tenure as governor.

Continuing, Oluwatosin called on journalists and media practitioners to always ensure they practice within the provisions of the law and ethics that guides the profession rather than involving in fake news and sensationalism for the sake of traffic.

Read statement below:

It has been brought to our attention that some highly respected news organizations are sharing reports that Primate Ayodele revealed in a prophecy that Governor Seyi Makinde will become the President of Nigeria.

This is not only disturbing but embarrassing and disappointing that some media organizations that should uphold the ethics of the journalism profession are getting themselves involved in tarnishing the image of the profession.

Primate Ayodele’s statement was an advice to Seyi Makinde regarding the next chapter of his political career and he called on him to begin 21 days consultation to reach a higher ground in his career.

In the video which was quoted in these reports, Primate Ayodele clearly said that Seyi Makinde is going to a higher ground but he needs to consult adequately. He warned that if he missed the chance, he would be sent completely packing politically.

These were his words:

‘’Seyi Makinde, open your eyes, do 21 days consultation now, there is a higher ground you are going, you are going to higher ground in your party, don’t leave your party, start a wider consultation, you may get it and you may not get it. There is a next chapter for you, if only you follow the instructions. Right from tomorrow Monday which is 10th of September, start your consultation if you want to be somebody politically, if you miss this chance, this can send you completely packing politically’’

I have watched the video multiple times, at different speeds, to see where Primate Ayodele mentioned anything like Presidency but I didn’t find it, where did Oyoaffairs and its cohorts get their fake quotes from? I wonder.

In fact, speaking about a higher ground for Seyi Makinde who is presently a governor, he could become a senator, house of representatives member, his party national chairman, other political positions, must it be Presidency? It’s painful that this is being attributed to Primate Ayodele, how can anyone think of lying against a man of God?

This is the same way some of these news outlets reported that Primate Ayodele said Atiku would be Nigeria’s next president in 2023, they also reported in 2019 that the prophet said Bukola Saraki would be the next president of Nigeria, I wonder why they get their reports from and what their motives are for these shameful acts.

Anyways, whatever their motives may be, we don’t appreciate them and it will be better that they resist from lying against Primate Ayodele. If they must report his activities, they should do so with all decency but if they can’t do without writing fake stories about him, they should kindly desist.

We also want to take this opportunity to appreciate news outlets that report Primate Ayodele’s stories accurately and within the provisions of the law and ethics that guide the journalism profession. We appreciate their support at all times.

Prophet Fufeyin speaks On NAFDAC Saga

We’ve never used NAFDAC’s name to deceive Nigerians – Prophet Fufeyin

The Senior Prophet of Christ MercyLand Deliverance Ministry, Abuja, Jeremiah Fufeyin, has denied allegations suggesting that his ministry has been using the name of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control to mislead the public regarding spiritual items.

In a statement issued on Sunday by the church’s media arm, and signed by Sophia Iloyd, the church described the allegations as false and misleading.

The statement was in a response to NAFDAC’s statement on Sunday, alerting the public to the activities of Fufeyin’schurch claiming he had been using the agency’s name to deceive the public.

The church, however, said it is a law-abiding institution that respects the laws of the land, including those of NAFDAC.

It emphasised that it operates under the protections of Sections 38 and 39 of the Nigerian Constitution, which guarantee freedom of religion and expression.

“As a church, we are guided by our faith and the teachings of the Bible. We have been using spiritual items as an expression of our religious beliefs.

“The church strongly denied claims made in the publication, which suggested that NAFDAC was warning the public about the ministry’s activities.

“At no point has our church deceived the public. We have not produced or sold consumable items to the public, let alone used NAFDAC’s name to do so,” the statement read

It further clarified that the only complaint pending against the church is a petition by one Mr. Martins Vincent Otse, also known as Verydarkblackman, who the church has taken to court over various allegations.

Fufeyin’s church acknowledged receiving a letter from NAFDAC dated August 27, 2024, which invited the church’s spiritual head for an inquiry into its use of miracle and healing items.

However, the church claimed that it was given less than 12 hours to respond and had already communicated its position to NAFDAC via official correspondence.

The church also alleged that the complainant, Otse, forged receipts to back his claims against the ministry.

These receipts, it said, were different from the ones typically issued by the church’s accounting office and had discrepancies in dates and details.

“We have written to NAFDAC and informed them that the receipts submitted by the complainant are under police investigation. Despite this, NAFDAC has not responded to our letters or provided any feedback on the matter,” the statement concluded.
